Theory Training 20%: Plumbing knowledge and skills conveyed in simplified manner.Practical Training 80%: Hands-on training where plumbing learners do project based learning under supervision to demonstrate the understanding of the concepts they have learnt.
Assessment: Assessors and moderators assess plumbing learners to whether they are competent or not
Introduction to Plumbing
- Role and responsibilities of a plumber
- Plumbing systems overview (water supply, drainage, sanitation, heating).
- Health, safety, and environmental awareness (PPE, tools, hazard control)
- Plumbing codes and regulations.
- Identify parts of a plumbing system in a model setup
Tools, Materials & Equipment
- Plumbing tools: wrenches, cutters, soldering equipment, augers, pumps
- Pipes and fittings: copper, PVC, PEX, steel, cast iron.
- Sealants, gaskets, adhesives, solders.
- Care, storage, and safe tool handling.
- Cutting, threading, bending, and joining sample pipes.
Water Supply Systems
- Principles of water pressure and flow.
- Installation of supply lines and shut-off valves.
- Hot and cold water systems.
- Tanks, pumps, and water heaters.
- Install a small-scale water supply system with taps.
Drainage & Waste Systems
- Principles of drainage and gravity flow.
- Traps, vents, and drain pipes.

Plumbing Fixtures & Appliances
- Toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers.
- Dishwashers, washing machines, geysers/heaters.

Pipework Skills
- Measuring, cutting, and threading.
- Bending and joining (compression, soldering, gluing).
- Testing for leaks and pressure.
- Build a multi-connection pipe network.
Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnosing leaks, bursts, and clogs.
- Replacing faulty fixtures and fittings.
